A noite não foi a melhor. Primeiro frio, depois calor e sempre a sensação de estar meio acordado.
O trabalho foi o mesmo, só que desta vez sozinho. A gasolina acabou e assim tive tempo de falar com o Frederico que fazia o almoço. O Fred é o pai deste projecto. Morava na Parede e planeou tudo durante oito anos antes de vir para aqui. Com um curso de agronomia, alugou o terreno e já conseguiu sacar dois milhões de euros ao estado em subsídios. E continua só que já não consegue os 100% do valor dos projectos. Vai conseguindo 75% a 80%. Amendoeiras, apicultura, produtos de cosmética natural, construção (para fora), aromáticas, centro de formação, parque aventura, eco-aldeia são outros projectos que estão pensados. Os cogumelos serão os primeiros a dar retorno. Não são completamente fiéis à permacultura mas alguns conceitos estão cá. Uma das coisas que me agradou é que parte dos trabalhadores são sócios e quem ganha mais só pode ganhar três vezes o ordenado mais baixo. Já agora, estão a precisar de alguém para a cozinha. Ele voltou a fazer pratos vegetarianos muito bons. O gajo parece saber fazer tudo. Também o questionei acerca do abandono das mulheres e ele acha que os homens se dão melhor num sítio tão remoto com poucas comodidades.
Ainda é cedo e o meu tempo aqui não tem sido muito animado mas há aqui muita coisa que queria aprender e, quem sabe até, arranjar trabalho. É engraçado ver um ambiente de trabalho à volta de matérias do meu interesse.

The work was the same, but alone this time. The gasoline runned out so I had time to talk with Frederico who was cooking lunch. Fred is the father of this project. He lived in Parede and planned it for eight years before coming here. Graduated in agronomy, he rented the land and managed to get two million euros of state subsidies. And keeps doing it but not getting 100% of the value of projects anymore. He gets 75% to 80%. Almond trees, beekeeping, natural cosmetics, construction (to outside), herbs, training center, adventure park, eco-village are other projects that are thought. The mushrooms will be the first to make some income. They are not completely faithful to permaculture but some concepts are here. One of the things I liked is that part of workers are partners and who earns more can only earn three times the lowest wage. By the way, they are in need of someone for the kitchen. He made very good vegetarian dishes again. The guy seems to know how to do everything. I also questioned him about the abandonment of women and he thinks that men do better in such a remote place with few amenities.
It's still early and my time here hasn't been that exciting but there is much here that I wanted to learn and maybe even get a job. It's funny to see a working environment around subjects of my interest.
